LEST, Salle 1

On the 26th of June, at 13h30 CET, for the last seminar of the season we will have the pleasure to listen to Marianne Hachtmann (Technical University of Berlin) on "Is Less More? Sufficiency and biodiversity conservation".

This presentation will explore the link between sufficiency as a strategy aiming at reducing the use of resources and land and how consequently it could be a strategy for protecting biodiversity.

Marianne Hachtmann holds a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Ecology and Environmental Planning and works as a research assistant at the Department of Landscape Planning and Development at the Technical University of Berlin. In addition to teaching, she is working on a PhD on sufficiency and its role in biodiversity conservation. The common thread running through her studies and work is her curiosity about the social embeddedness of environmental crises and their solutions.
