Biography

Rafael's work is inspired by social innovations not only as a source of empirical materials but also as a spring of new ideas & concepts. His focus is on social innovation in relation to water, justice & sustainability. After studies in philosophy & economics at LSE and McGill, he co-founded the social-ecological research group GETIDOS. He directed GETIDOS from 2009 until 2019 & remains a fellow. He now works as an associate professor at HEC Montreal.
